Nivora is a music streaming and social listening service available through our web and mobile experiences. This policy explains how personal data is handled when you use Nivora.

Depending on how you use Nivora, we may process account and profile information such as your email address, display name, profile image, role, preferences and authentication data. Passwords are stored using secure one-way hashing rather than as readable passwords.

We also process service activity needed for features you choose to use, including liked tracks, playlists, listening history, queues, playback state, searches, recommendations, follows or friends, Jam participation, imported library information, lyrics interactions and settings.

We may receive technical information such as IP address, browser or app version, device type, timestamps, request logs, session identifiers, crash or error information and security events. If you join the launch waitlist, we process the email address you submit and its registration status.

We use personal data to provide and secure your account; stream and organize music; synchronize playback and Jams; maintain likes, playlists and history; personalize discovery and recommendations; perform imports; provide support; diagnose failures; prevent abuse; and operate, maintain and improve Nivora.

Where applicable under the GDPR, processing is based on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Nivora, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where consent is required.

We do not sell your personal data. Information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, email, security or other service providers where needed to operate Nivora. Providers should only process information for the services they provide to us and subject to appropriate safeguards.

Information you intentionally make social or public—such as a public profile, creator profile, shared playlist or activity exposed through a social feature—may be visible to other Nivora users according to the feature and your privacy settings.

If you connect or use an import from a third-party music service, Nivora processes the information required to perform that import. Your use of a third-party service remains subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy. Disconnecting a service does not automatically delete information already imported into your Nivora library.

Nivora may use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies necessary for authentication, session security, preferences, offline functionality and reliable playback. If non-essential analytics or similar technologies requiring consent are introduced, we will provide the required choices before using them.

We retain account data while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security and enforce agreements. Operational logs and backups may remain for a limited period after primary data is removed. Different categories may have different retention periods.

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data, including encrypted connections for supported services, access controls and authentication safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and should contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Depending on where you live, and in particular under the EU/EEA GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and request data portability where applicable.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Requests can be sent to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Nivora is not intended for children below the minimum age at which they may lawfully consent to use an online service in their jurisdiction. If we learn personal data was collected from a child without an appropriate legal basis, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

Our infrastructure and service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where data-protection law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Nivora changes or legal requirements evolve. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes may also be communicated through Nivora or another appropriate channel.
